Interesting, Brydo and raises many issues in these COVID infested times. I visited Mesa many, many times over a 20 year period staying in the Hilton just of the I 60. It will be interesting to see if these Waymos venture onto the multi lane freeways to be undertaken and carved up by the plethora of V8 pickups and SUVs much favoured in Arizona. The grid road system makes automation far more straightforward. Multi lane, no parked car hazards, no traffic calming and no double mini roundabouts to challenge the system. No hills, very few bends, no ice, snow or fog and no Lycra lout cyclists all make me think it will be a while before they appear here. Maybe in Milton Keynes.
