Maybe arrange an appt with a dealership at there quieter hours and ask to use a side room if you do venture out to get a car.
i understand not going out but I suppose in this case it’s needs must as it seems there’s no other option, see if you can be there to just order it and a nominated driver pick it up.
in 2016 I was in hospital and I facilitated with the dealer that if I provide everything needed can someone can in and do what needs to be done, they were fine with it. It could have been against rules but it still happened and as collection was 4months away I was able to collect it.
