Hhhmmmhave they started dishing out parking bay fines at these charging points yet for incorrect positioning… Wont be long as electric cars become more popular.
Not yet, but is the car “parked”? or is it merely “stopped to charge”, soon enough someone will start a legal arguement.
Think about the parking space lines at petrol pumps…. oh, there aren’t any…. why would there be any in a charge bay?
There are already plenty of EV chargers behind paywalls (think about chargers at rail station car parks, but they are destination chargers so expected), the worst ones being for Rapid chargers where you’ll spend maybe 20 minutes charging but have to pay for 2 hours parking to do so… usually council car parks as they love to rob motorists.
