Well Bionic I saw a black plastic bollard bent to a 10.55 am angle thanks to a 20 plate Mazda suv in the disabled bay.. I guess the spaces are wide enough but simply not long enough, or like you say time for taxis..

There definitely not long enough if you need to get a wheelchair or scooter out of the back.

That said they are long enough if supermarkets were to put a bit of thought in how they layout the BB spaces as nearly all shops put post right in the middle of the width of the space so you have to unload traffic end and I’ve almost come a cropper on many occasion.

The only supermarket that seems to lay the post out correctly is Sainsbury’s.

That said I’ve seen why they put the post in the middle because a couple of years ago I was driving up a footpath on my scooter with my 5 year old grandson walking next to me and the parking spaces were parallel to the path on both side and someone in a brand new pick-up truck who had not learned their forward from reverse gear drove forward after stopping in the space knocking the post 45 degrees and my grandson would have not come out of that very well had the post not been in the middle of the space but there’s got to be a better way of accessing these spaces when there BB spaces.

Of course the best solution is for everyone to take a driving test or stop using their phones while driving but I suppose that’s too much to ask.
