I have had a play with the voice assistant, very impressed.
You can select radio stations, you say, “bmw play heart london” or whatever your choice is, or just say “play music” and it will give options. You can also command to change the temperature, up or down, and will respond to “bmw, I am hot, or cold” and will adjust, including turning on the heated seats, it will also set up a de-mist routine. You can control the air con, in incremental steps. It responds to directions, just saying postcodes, or names of places, pre set destinations, like work, or family. The responses from the assistant are very helpful, and quite natural. The more you use it, the more it learns, your voice and choices.
I am sure there are many other voice commands, to use to control the car functions, and if you are used to using alexa or google, it’s really efficient.
