Indeed sometimes something has to give and you cannot and should not be able to get everything you desire in a top of the range car. Although i do find i need (because of my bad back ) a nice comfortable seat and often lower trim levels have hard basic seats.
That was the worst thing about the mk7 golf match edition i had, the seats. Never get another model like that.
Basic seats are in the honda i have now as well and they are way more comfortable. Soon as i sat in one i noticed the difference from driving to the dealers in the golf.
Sometime ppl don’t realise how lucky they are to have such a great scheme. Had a 208 as a hire car last year very basic and seats was more comfortable than the golf also, but is 2 small for day to day life. Now i need an auto i have got cars lower in height and i’m 6ft and it no more painful for me getting in or out and some find them too high. but going lower i get a better spec’d car than if i went higher. thats been my trade off.
