It’s a tough one and there is no easy answer, but i don’t see the cap changing or prices of cars coming down as more and more tech is put on cars, and most get two engines, brake regen etc etc.
They gonna cost more. Maybe one may have to consider getting a seat instead of a golf and review what is really important and not just brand. Personally alot of the higher end car dealers are not local to me. So that means servicing etc is an issue with the day to day goings on in my life. Would of considered a volvo as they round the corner but ACC part of a pack at £1k or 1.5k on top of the ap is to much for me..
So not an option for me, my last 2 cars on the scheme have been lower one than before and that’s one of the trade off i have made to get a car that suits my needs. also I would not pay £3k Ap or 2k Ap just to much for me to justify, as i am on a low income. Thats the price of a nice cheap holiday the family won’t have. This is just how i look at things. Time is the most important thing we have and some may not want to here this but some have been spoilt for choice for a long time and it’s not really MB’s fault the situaition that is transpiring in the car industry. At some point they may need to review the scheme, some may not like the options now on offer, that are less than before but it is how it is.
