It’s water off a duck’s back to me these days. Take my miserable, moaning old step father for example. Despite having polio when I was 6 months old – he still moans & insists that I shouldn’t get any benefits of any kind – let alone a “free car” every 3-years! When I explain that I left school and went to sea for 12-years… then worked for an insurance company for 9-years… then worked for myself for another 7-years before I couldn’t manage getting around anymore in my mid-40’s – he just scoffs and gives me a lecture on his ‘hard life’ blah blah blah (yaaaaawn)…
You do (eventually -as Phil says) become thick skinned.
