The thing is you get the same system on the Peugeot Traveller and within the system settings there is the option to “turn off cruise control”, when you select it to off the system reverts to good old normal cruise control (it’s standard on the Traveller and my Rifter and the ACC is an extra) yet the option to do this in the setting is missing from the Rifter!
I can only suggest you get a test drive in the 208 and see if the option to disable is available within it’s settings menu.
