Those that have decided for whatever reason on the day to cancel, or after the car is 1st registered, cost us all in the end, as that car is then registered to Mb and is not then new it has had one owner.. It is unfortunate but it cause’s a negative effect. It is not something I would say someone should do, unless the car is not what they ordered.

Yes we are within our rights to cancel upto when we put in the pin but we are also bound by the dealers conditions of sale and the consumer act and laws of the land.

A lot of companies are cashless now and i had to make a bank transfer to honda the morning before picking up the latest car back in june. (which was a 1st for me as well)

Plus also they would only take upto 1k on One card for the Ap.

The honda dealer was the same group i got my Vw from and have had no issues with them at all. So had no issues with the process. It was another big reason i went with the honda, as it was part of the same vertu group that i trust and they went above and beyond after lockdown to help get me in the car as quick as possible.

If there is something wrong with the car or specs, then indeed do not enter the pin. Until it is sorted.

As for checking the car is suitable, that should of been done on ordering and you would of signed a now digital document that confirmed the car is suitable for you for the 3 years of the lease. I was emailed a copy of them all by the dealer the day of placing the actual order for my car back in jan. (pre covid) also the hire agreement and handover book from MB i got in the post, not from the dealer as one would of before.

Hope all goes well for you on the day, no reason it should not, Some do ask for the Ap on ordering but that is different. In this case the Ap needs paying before you pickup the car and you could be at the dealers waiting till the payment is cleared on the day, for longer than needed and for covid security they trying to avoid this. Also showing you the car etc, it’s not gonna happen imo. what they do now is show you a video if you have any issues or one need to know how something works.
