They do make hybrid autos, the Kuga has one, but yes, they are really focused (oooh a pun!) on their home market, which is pickup truck obsessed. For 43 years, the Ford F-150 has been the best selling pickup truck & for the last 38 years the F-150 has been the best selling vehicle in the USA.
Here in the UK the best selling car of 2019 was the Ford Fiesta at 77,833, the F-150 sold 900,000 & that was a drop on the year before!
