the car is only 17 months old and I feel ashamed because of it but I have abad back to lift things in to it
Things like this happen – nothing to be ashamed about, especially if you have a bad back. As poster says above just get a boot protector or you can get stick on bumper protectors. Have one on my car and it’s helped a lot.
