Maybe the way to monitor value once you have any AP is to look at the percentage of the list price? That Astra mentioned in OP is nearly 13% of the list. Measure that against a similarly specced Ford Focus which is under 5%. Hard to understand what might cause this difference as the list prices are obviously similar and the depreciation is likely to be quite close too. I guess that the purchase discount offered to Motability must be greatly reduced on that model of Astra? If so, why is it on the list at all? Who on earth would choose that car? I’d be really surprised if they’ve shifted a single one.
