U25s are really restricted by this,
Insurance group 16 is way too low.
I’ve seen people on here (Motability customers). Say that U25s don’t drive around in “nice” cars so the scheme reflects that. Frankly this is untrue, and when I see those comments I can’t help but think of those daily mail readers who foam at the mouth at the thought of disabled people having “free” nice cars and the idea that they should only have the base budget spec low tier cars available for them, yet that’s how diasabled people on here treat young drivers
i have two friends with CLAs, another has a fiesta st, know a guy with a focus RS who is 24. my neighbour who is 22 has the newest one series 118i, I’d be interested in the 118i with an Ap of 1900 but I can’t get it since it’s insurance group 18, I can get the 116d but the ap is 3400… ridiculous. There’s also one suv auto for those that need…
i currently drive a w204 c class and my insurance on it is 700 a year (20).
the scheme needs changing for u25, insurance groups need to be raised.
