I am so sorry to read this. I really feel it for you. Did you get an answer to your question or make a decision?
I am not far behind you I think. I was born with my disability but after spending most of my primary school years and early high school years in hospital, I was released into the world. ? And I managed. I managed pretty well all told.
I always knew it would catch up with me but I honestly thought I’d reach retirement. I was wrong. My will finally broke and now at 52 I find myself back in the system, having bits of me removed/replaced and undergoing genetic testing to try and finally identify my condition. But worse I’ve found myself tangled up in the Primodos scandal (recently in the news again)
These bad days make you concentrate on nothing else eh?
I hope that you have found a good workaround for your transport issue.
If you don’t want to keep a car sat on the drive, do you know of any local disabled friendly taxi firms? That may be a good balance for you both.
