I’m far worse than Google, my dad is the one to blame as he introduced me to New Scientist magazine back in about 1974 as he used to bring them home from work. I gradually became very widely read in the sciences & engineering. My dad was an engineer and I became a scientist. Forget bothering to watch television, I couldn’t tell you anything about what’s happened since 1974 in any soap opera, but I’ve probably read about every major development in science & engineering & I have an encyclopedic memory.

In 1993 I went “green”, replacing all lightbulbs in my house with those nasty fluorescent energy saving lightbulbs, and then changed them for LED ones as soon as they became available. I also had solar water heaters, solar electric panels, etc., put in over the years. I moved from the coastal plane to higher ground in 1999, knowing that sea level rises would be inevitable some day & millions would be left with mortgages on properties being washed away.

Alas I’m one of those nasty people who tell Extinction Rebellion people off when they get in my way, they’re decades late to the party & hopefully will go the way of the dodo, extinct, and take their knitted old fossil Volvos with them. These creatures imagine that it’s good telling others what to do then jet off around the World on holiday many times per year, they even brought the present of COVID back for their grandparents as they mistakenly believe in their feeble entitled minds that killing older people will somehow solve the World’s overpopulation problem. They are the problem, apportioning blame yet doing little themselves to help.
