I tend to agree Smallcar.
I know lots on here are quite excited by EVs, but with range in the mid 100’s for cold weather/heating on, it’s still going to be an issue with most people let alone the disabled.
Secondly you have the issue of cost. I’ve previously aired my views about any Tesla or the new Nissan coming on the scheme, but others seem to have false hope. So unless the MG ZS, Corsa, 2008, Zoe are suitable, choice is still limited.
Finally, you are correct about the multitude of different charging points, cables and plugs being confusing. Gothitjulie put an excellent synopsis on here about this a few days ago, which also served to bring it home how complicated it is.
I think another 2 years might be enough to see some positive change, but I’m currently feeling a PHEV might be the safe midway step.
