I cant see it going back too that , i think it would be to bad for the car market i think motability customers is a big part of car sales every year if they were to stop it so much money and jobs would be lost. Yes people are always going to complain that the are hard done to or losing out, they need to work three jobs i do get it and understand, people are envious of someone having something they want but don’t have or can afford .
I hear of friends and neighbor going 3 or 4 holidays and going out for meals every weekend , or moving into a bigger more expensive bought house, i think how can they afford to do all these things and i can not. i get by , i pay every day bills to live and worry i have enough money every month oh an hope nothing big breaks like a washing machine, im not envious ( but yet some people are ) of these people to me they have an easier life. The point i think i’m trying to make is , people do not like to see other people (in their eyes) do better than them .
People that complain about disabled people getting a car on motability probably do not have any first hand dealings with the issues disabled people have. As for cars available on motability, the price of cars are always going up in price every year , but yet war pension , pip, dla mobility components don’t rise at the same rate nor even in line with inflation, i think any increase is below inflation (i think) .
i think people and news papers forget (or don’t know) why disable people have to go through the terrible assessment ordeal to get the benefit, its because they need extra help because of an illness, disability or mental health condition. Carers allowance you need to care for the person 35 hours a week that is a full time job but call it a benefit and they get £67.25 a week. This is an increase of 1.7 percent, and £1.10 a week.
The benefit system for disabled people will never make them(us) rich it may help pay for extra expense they have like special diet , special cloths, all just to survice .
May be all these people and news papers ,that complain about disabled people getting a car to help then manage in life would prefer that all disable people should die and save the government money, may be moving forward any one born disable should be put to sleep the save the government money because they’ll be a drain on the economy.
Did something like that not happen in the second world war by Hitler because he didn’t like people…
thats all i have to say just now on that.
