Live chat get very confused with the term “tinted windows”. It was made clear to me that there is tinted glass and tinted film. Tinted glass is what they fit at the factory and why Motability say you can’t have it if the car was not supplied with it but there was no quibble at all yesterday when they gave us approval for the tinted film to be used. We have no medical reason for tinted windows, just keeping the sun off our dog.
Either way, factory option or film, the customer has to pay for that themselves.
If it is a factory option that you forgot to tick and it’s not too late then the dealership should be able to add it. If it is too late then phone Motability and ask them if you can pay for the tinted film to applied once you take delivery of the car.
