Cool and dry with sunny spells.  Bright enough to get me down to Bognor for a potter this morning.  Driving to the sea front at Bognor is bad even at the moment – the ‘official route’ has lots of narrow roads full of parked cars.  I certainly won’t be going again when it’s warmer!

For the first time possibly in Living History, there was a traffic jam in Chichester coming back.  I normally drive through Chichester muttering “Where the hell is everybody?”, but not today.  The pavements have been extended into the roads to permit Social Distancing for pedestrians (of which I saw exactly none – perhaps they were secretly all in the permanently pedestrianised city centre?) so now all the cars, vans, lorries, buses, bikes and cycles have to take turns in both directions squeezing along a single lane.  This is the main route into the city from the Bognor direction.

Still, the B2141 Chilgrove to South Harting was as exciting as ever.  I do recommend it on a sunny day, when the roads are dry.

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
