they maybe getting confused as the 1st July is for New Applications. they did indeed get an update on the 16th but it was to advise open for people joining the scheme as those already on it that have been invited to order could do so from the 9th. or at least thats the way i read it. i would re check with dealership, AP wise request that you have it at the lower should it change, they may of course purposely be putting it of for their 2nd part/yearly figures ect, but you should of been able to order from the 9th (unless you said setember its not within your 3 month order date yet) im assuming it is if they have said you can order.

Currently handover and new application activity is resuming in phases as we collect cars handed back before or during lockdown and mfldirect sales return to a sustainable level.
Reopening the Scheme
1st June – dealers in England are able to hand over vehicles for applications already in ‘Insurance’ as at 24th March.
4th June – dealers in England and from Monday 8th June dealers in Northern Ireland, are able to view the ‘Vehicle Catalogue’ and start an application for a renewing customer. The Motability Scheme website has also been updated to display the Searchable Price Guide and advise customers either approaching the end of their lease, or who have had their leases extended during lockdown, that they will be able to place a renewal application from 8th June.
9th June – dealers in England and Northern Ireland are able to progress applications from ‘Pending’ to ‘Insurance’. Please contact the customer to arrange a time for handover and update the Confirmed Delivery Date.
Wednesday 1st July – we’re pleased to announce that we will be able to take applications from customers looking to join the Scheme from 1st July 2020.
Due to parliamentary guidelines we are currently unable to support dealers located in Scotland and Wales with new applications or the handover of a new car.
