It’s how it’s actually designed to work, basic I guess it’s a start for your search and to find prices and the basics details.
I want /need adaptive cruise control now on any car i’m getting and many cars don’t have it included as standard.
Most of the time i have to compare the cars i like the look of, on the dealers site or even build one to see specs or if it’s an extra addon or not.
With alot it’s in a driving pack at a grand and over on top of any AP, so it’s instantly off the list for me and it’s annoying as hell, but it’s got to be done as there so many trim options and levels, usually i’m left with a couple of cars in certain trim levels to choice from.. one’s that tick all my main boxes but usually something has to give even before i go to dealers to have a look and have a test drive.
I generally don’t use some of the search functions.
I select a manufacturer like audi or VW then a model ie a3/golf and deselect manual and electric. As right now they no good for me..
Then it gives me all trims and engine options as some manufacturers also package trims very differently.. only 9 manufacturer’s do ev’s on the scheme currently i see..
The part that don’t work someimes is the size/ style of the car or the engine size.
checkout the longlink and details of the actual search thread for evs, each option is just a switch 1/0 on or/off
Like with a toyota corrolla the 2.ol it dissappears when you set 1.8l min engine size.. But i found selecting one dealer at a time is the best way to use it.. So to search for just a 2.ol i got to look threw the 1.8s as well.
i do not know why it justy does it’s a code/ imput issue and a what if is probalaly not defined.. It how searches work they just search setout stuff from a database..
Ayhow
Then i go vw say to check the specs of the ones that in my price point and what you actually get for that..
no search is perfect, i been on another site looking at cars i searched then hit list displayed with power (high) from the menu and they all mixed up anyway..
