I currently have a golf with a dsg and will be changing it for a honda civic sport next month which has a cvt and paddle shifts.
honda has done a good job imo 182 bhp from a 1.5l petrol with a cvt 0 → 62 mph 8.3 secs and 220 nm of torque.
Did look at the corrolla 2.ol hatch great mpg as well but is small.. saloon only in 1.8l a big mistake on there part as i don’t want an estate, but as the battery is in the boot just not viable..
so i didn’t bother even test driving one as after driving the honda, I ordered one.. If the cvt was that bad i deffo wouldn’t off.. I was sceptical but driving the car yourself the only way to know if it suits you..
