Everybody is different (thank goodness) and may have different priorities but here are my thoughts on this!
I may have to lose my Motability vehicle (just waiting for a PIP review decision) and so have been looking at other options. There is no other option which matches what the Motability scheme offers. One important factor for me is what happens if my PIP is reduced or stopped. Yes it is a downside that I would have to give my car back but at least I’m not ‘stuck’ with a lease I can no longer afford!
I also appreciate the all inclusive nature of the scheme it really does cut down on things I have to worry about. It is good to be able to say ‘not my problem’ to a wide range of things. Yes, it does have annoyances so until I found this forum I was unaware that vehicles on the scheme could (and do) change on a daily basis or that some dealers offered cash incentives etc. However, any time I’ve had a problem and have approached Motability they have responded pretty well. I even got a refund from them when there was a major change in the AP for a vehicle between my ordering and the next monthly AP!
