If it continues the way it is then I can see this new car I have just got will be extended to 5 years and then I’ll be going elsewhere, I don’t mind not having a brand new car, after all once you’ve been driving your car for a couple of years you wouldn’t say it felt any different from when you 1st got it except the fact you’re more used to it so buying a 2 year old car wouldn’t be a hardship really, plus most problems would have been done under warranty and if not you still have a year to get them sorted and once paid for you have residual value to be able to trade in again in another 3 years.
