Brydo, I felt the same when I test drove the tiguan, the merc cla coupe, and shooting brake are in a different league, and of course a different sector, not being a SUV. The tiguan, felt great in some areas, I did like it, but I felt let down in the interior, a bit plasticky, no real ambient lighting, and apart from the stand out dash, and sunroof, the engine had very little poke. Smooth ride though. Depends on what you want or need from a car, and what you are coming from, the MB is a lot more expensive, but does have that overall wow factor, especially the interior at night, have you considered the A class with premium plus that has just come on.
