Hi Renrahs,
I currently have a 118i on order and I expect to pick it up the beginning of March.
I was lucky enough to test drive both the 118i manual and the automatic, i thought the engine was quite nippy and sat comfortably at motorway speeds. (coming from a 1l eco boost) Unfortunately this was a car with only 100 miles on so I can’t really say anything about how it runs after 1000 or so miles.
My first impressions of the car in the showroom were really positive and coupled with a really knowledgeable (and patient) dealer he took me through everything on the car. In my opinion the ap of £1249 for the auto is reasonable, especially as its a brand new model.
As far as lead times go, I ordered my car on the 21st of December and I was notified of a week 6 build slot and a week 8 delivery slot. However, I have been told since this has gotten longer by up to 12 weeks total.
Regarding looks, I quite like them. I went for the m-sport version of the car but really think the m-sport pack with the 19′ alloy and spoiler would have really set the car apart further. Unfortunately I couldn’t justify the £1800 cost of the option pack.
Overall, I’m really excited as this will be my first mobility car and I took a long time choosing. In my opinion, there are more cars available on the scheme that have a similar or smaller ap and have a similar or better spec sheet. I comes adequately equipped and I added a few options for my own convenience too. All in all, I can’t wait to drive it for the next three years.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks,
Andrew.
