Normally with Auto’s vs Manual, you lose a fraction of a second in the 0-60 time and a few MPG. Officially with the Tiguan R-Line Tech, the manual and autos are both 9s to 60, the manual tops out at 127mph while the Auto loses out as it “only” does 126 lol. Fuel consumption on the manual officially ranges from 46.3 – 47.1 while the Auto is a little lower at 44.8 – 45.6 but I think it’s safe to say 99% of people will never see a real difference other than the convenience of the auto.
I think the cruise control is “better” in the auto – not sure as I didn’t really look into the manual as it wasn’t an option for me, but I know the auto can literally bring the car to a stop in traffic and automatically pull away once the traffic moves on – I can’t see how a manual could possibly do that.
