As an addendum, may I add that the fall and imminent demise of the CD format has an advantage for Luddite listeners like me: CDs can be bought for next to nothing online if you hunt around on prices and there is an amazing choice as MP3ers get rid of stuff. I picked up some great 60s stuff for less than a quid a disc.
Wish I could do the MP3 thing. It utterly defeats me. Much prefer vinyl anyway – amazing sound quality on my old mono Beatles LPs and classical stuff released in 60s.
