Haven’t decided 100% yet but my practical boring side AND my frugal side are ganging up on my geek side… The boot is a little smaller than the XC60 I have now and I already occasionally struggle for space, and the Outlander PHEV dropping in price is adding another option I previously wrote off – I do around 20 miles every day so the 28 mile electric-only range should cover most of my driving so I’d see a BIG saving on fuel.

Now it’s a case of sticking with the Tiguan (which is honestly the most likely – generally I’m a man of my word and, having ordered it, part of me feels he should stick to his commitment even though I know I’m technically allowed out of it), going with the wallet-friendly PHEV, or getting something like a Caddy or Transit connect so I’ll never have to worry about space again…

Like I said, I’ll probably stick with the Tiguan, but the last week or so of hassle with the boot made me rethink if I should be switching to a van-style car, which is when I had a browse and saw the PHEV price drop.
