I had rainbow mirror tints on the rear of my 308 SW and the rep who checked it on handover commented on how much he liked it and how good a job it did of hiding the inside from the outside, it just looked like a dark tint on the inside at about 85%, never had it removed and never heard anything back from Motability about it.
