I have a Touran with a hoist (1.4TSI SEL DSG). the boot is much bigger than a Tiguan and has a lower load height. MPVs not fashionable, but more practical than most equivalent SUVs, IMHO. Currently £1099 but winter pack for heated seats and electric tailgate optional extras. Excellent, built in Wolfsburg, quality.
