While it’s clear that APs have been rising over the last few years – and at the same time the price cap affecting the top end of models available – I still do struggle to find privately financed/leased options which are actually streets ahead on value. So, does anyone have any solid examples of private leasing/finance deals which actually offer good value in comparison to what is available on the Motability scheme?
Roly, if you are interested in private lease, myself and friends used to follow “National Vehicle Solutions” and “Vehicles for Business” (they lease private as well). Both used to offer some great deals and also added ‘flash’ deals. A few of my pals leased with them. I’ll be honest, I used to find all leasing deals to be very fluid with costs rising and lowering regularly. The trick I found, was to monitor particular cars and this would show when the better deals were to be had.
I will say, and no offence intended, don’t forget you’ll need to add insurance and servicing, though some will include a service plan if pushed.
A friend did get an amazing deal on a Golf R at just under £300 per month on a three year lease although he did have to pay for servicing.
