I would never lease a car for personal use. I have done for my business as that makes more sense. Privately I’ve always bought them straight out.
It seems these days almost all cars on the road are on some sort of finance.
I was brought up with the mind set you save and then buy not get credit, yes an old fart. lol
But things change, now I’m very grateful for the scheme, nothing to do with the cost of vehicles, purely down to needing the package of services motability offers. I have enough on my plate without having motoring worries.
I would be amazed if anyone could beat the cost of the scheme once everything is considered, inc what cost you put on your peace of mind.
