Having came from a 190 to a 150 there really isn’t much difference performance wise , I was a bit worried about that before I took delivery but absolutely nothing in it

stats might say slightly quicker acceleration and a higher top speed

but it’s barely noticeable driving the 2

the 190 even the 230/240 editions are hardly sports cars

so I def wouldn’t be put off by the 150, plenty of torque and power for over taking

the biggest thing I notice from my previous car isn’t the 40 less Bhp it’s the 2 wheel drive compared the 4wd on my old car

I’m never going to be off roading ( ever )

but sat at a round about, junction or on a hill and you want to move in a hurry , you’ll soon discover wheel spin and torque steer galore even on dry days

maybe that says more about my style of driving than the car lol

but it does take a little bit of adjustment coming from 4wd to 2 where the 2 issues I mentioned above didn’t exist

been about 8 years since I’ve drove 2wd , so it can still catch you out if you hit the gas too heavy from a stationary start

i did ask Mota and the Dealership if I could pay the extra for 4wd but after some checking it was a big fat no

so that’s the biggest difference I notice and not the 40 less Bhp

the rrp of the Tiguans shot up a few months back, but luckily for the members it’s still on the scheme even though it’s now a good bit above the cap

here’s hoping in the New Year that Mota raise the price cap and that maybe the R Line Tech , and XC40 R Design Pro 4wd models can make it onto it
