You don’t have to be wealthy to enjoy nice things.
It can be very satisfying to save up for something and then go out and buy it. I’ve never had credit of any kind except for a mortgage. I’m not wealthy, but saving for many years means that I can look after myself and my family and still indulge myself occasionally.
I haven’t got a pistol though, and I do buy a lottery ticket when the size of the total means that I can dream really big dreams! I don’t consider it to be gambling because I’m purchasing pleasure, I don’t expect to win …. I just call it my “what if? ….. ticket to dream”.
