    Cheers Tillyman.

We now had a quick and cheeky test drive. 85 Sportline, with optional wheels.

Drives, imo, better than the Enyaq. Particularly the brake is a vast improvement. Now, we did drive the 85x Enyaq Sportline, maybe that’s why, but yeah.. This one drove lovely. You can tell it’s heavy, the “sport suspension” isn’t able to hide that, and the steering doesn’t give any feedback (as is normal nowadays) – but we expected that, it is kind of a “culture shock” going from a lukewarm hatch to a lump, sorry, SUV.

Pulls nice, drives nice, feels very safe. Also able to kind of guess where the car ends, as opposed to the Enyaq that felt like there was half a mile of car behind me.

I can also confirm that Skoda will pull the Elroq next quarter, our salesman (very nice guy, btw) mentioned that it might be because stock is dwindling (meaning more “””real customers””” need factory orders as opposed to taking a car from stock).

Lastly.. Only for the next three weeks, Sinclair Skoda in Swansea (i don’t know if it’s ALL Skoda, ALL Sinclair Skoda or just the dealership in Swansea) will contribute £750 AP to both Enyaq in all available specs, as well as the Elroq in all available specs. Which makes this a ridiculous steal imho. Sadly we’re going to miss out on this deal (can’t order yet), but even if you’re 200 miles away, £750 is £750. Worth the journey. Look for the 5″10 ish guy around 30yo, with very (very) short hair (almost bald). Forgot the name – pretty sure it’s their Motability guy though. He was nothing but courteous and accommodating. Would’ve given us the car for an extended test drive too, but we only took it for 45ish minutes (unaccompanied).

That all said: if it’s back by the time we get to order, it’s a guaranteed order, even without the £750 contribution (assuming the prices stay the sameish).
