If any concerns just visit the retailer manager and request them cancel it or you won’t be visiting or spending money after received a parking charge. Retailers pay them, so in most cases will cancel the charge, if they think they will loose money!
If the sign wasn’t clear, take a pic of that!
Not had loads but, those I have had, I have never payed. Mum had one at a pub she regularly goes in January and the pub canceled the charge after speaking to them 🙂
