It’ll probably come back once Hyundai have updated their ordering systems, identified the popularity of each model and negotiated appropriate prices with Motability.  They could well be found all that right now.

I keep checking to see if it is back on the scheme. As my dealer can’t order the car,

What I will get depends on what comes back on the scheme,

I ordered in June ultimate AWD with tech pack, before they removed them.

I want to know what happens with our ioniq orders we’ve already put in if the new model never gets added, they just leave us with nothing forever until we order a different car ?

I am hopeful I will get the car I ordered, or the upgrade, as I keep getting emails from motabilty

“We emailed you two weeks ago about the new application. Hyundai are still working on the order for a Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric Hatchback.”

I suspect that this is a standard email they send out, but in realty they have no idea.

As the car I ordered is no longer on the scheme. And I have no idea what they are going to do.

As you say, what happens if they do not come back on the scheme, are we expected to look at another car, which is now a much higher AP.

If I had known they were not going to supply me the car when I ordered it.

I would have chosen another car at lower AP

Not 100% sure, but I think if you already ordered the car before it disappeared from the scheme it would still turn up under the previous agreement. The order will be with Hyundai and will get into their build plan at the factory. They match it to a new model, as they stopped making the old model in March.

I ordered end of May. It went in as a factory order. Couple f weeks back dealer told me I would be getting a new model. Not sure what though. I imagine they just match the old spec as closely as they can within the framework of the new models. The prices of the vehicles have not significantly changed so the spec offered should not change.

But the dealer cannot place an order to factory until Motability add it to the scheme, if its never added to the scheme then how is the car ordered and when.

Motability should be giving us these answers soon, they cant just say wait and see if we add them

Are you saying the dealer took an order from you, but can’t process it to the factory because motability don’t list it on the dealer system?

                        2. Yes exactly, they cant place the order so we’re just stuck in limbo.
                        3. This is from our Motability account, does yours show ordered at the bottom ?

Mine looks the same as yours, but I know it went to the factory as we had to change the colour to what was allowed by the factory at the time.

How has the motability system been updated if they could not pick the car and order it!

Did you get a confirmation of AP or anything from the dealer?

The Motability system updates are just order placed with dealer and application accepted.

Theres nothing to suggest anything has been sent to factory, surely if it states dealer hasn’t ordered the car then it hasn’t been sent to the factory, Motability have just agreed to buy the car.

It shows the model i ordered yes and i have been given the AP invoice but again then means nothing really, its just printed at order.

I know it hasn’t been sent to factory because the dealer said to me when i ordered that he cant put an order in at all until the system switches over to my25

Yes, the same with me. At the time of my order, which motabilty excepted, there were no My24 models in stock to match my spec.

With there being no stock, and no orders being sent to the factory, as production was moving to my25  the dealer could not order the car.

But motabilty still had the my24 on their website, and allowing dealers to place an order, like us, but in realty we were not able to get any of them.

                              So why take our orders.

All I have in my online account, is my24 model. AP to pay, and PIN.

They have even sent out the agreement paperwork, for a car that can’t be supplied.

That’s tricky. You’d think that the arrangement with Motability would stand and the order would go through as whatever MY25 model Hyundai agreed with Motability would match the MY24 order.

I know we keep getting the keep warm emails from Motability but a bit more detail would be appreciated. Even something like, we’re going to match the MY24 order to a MY25.

Can’t imagine the Ionic 5 coming off the scheme when the Ionic 6 is still on there.

Skoda did the same, and supplied a newer model car both through Motability and direct orders.

As it stands, my dealer can’t order anything, as it is not on motabilty.

So until motabilty put them back on the scheme, and he than either order the car from factory, or source one from stock, we are in limbo.

I ordered a my24 model back in May. At that time I was quoted delivery in October. Nothing from the dealer until last week. Saying Hyundai have changed the order to an MY25 and had to upgrade the packs to get the equivalent to the order I made. I won’t pay any difference in AP but they said that they had no idea when the car would be ready.  The current lead times look like 6 months and I don’t won’t to wait that long. What options do I have.

Sadly, As you are presently stuck between a rock and a hard place, the options are very limited, if you have your heart set on the Ioniq 5 the the only option is to wait as there are no stock ’24 cars available. The only other option is an alternative car, one that is either in stock or has a short build time. Are there any vehicles that interest you?

As WMC says. There’s no stock anywhere in the UK. I’m in NI and have just phoned a few dealers and one checked the whole of the UK and zero.

They also have no idea when it will come on the scheme and at what ap it will be.

So just spoken with my dealer again. And said still no update from motability or hyundai on when this will be sorted. He did say supply told him that currently there is 400 motability orders in the system an all in the same situation. Not sure how true that is but just what I have been told.

if that is true. It’s alot of customer for them to honour the price of the car. But who knows.

So possibly one would have popped up. When I place order end June I was shown the network and was around 15/16 cars available all models with different options etc.

I spoke to Hyundai salesmen yesterday about the 5. He says he done the network search which I presume is what Boris was talking about and said there is none. There was one he showed me a namsam with 15 mile on it but it was my23 and said mobility would not let me order a my23.

But he is a salesman man and was pushing me towards ordering a my25 ioniq 5 or taking a stock new my24? Kona.
