Reality is, we know the data. There’s numbers. The swedish civil contingencies agency published data, showing that EVs are 20 times less likely to catch fire than petrol and diesel cars. Out of 611.000 EVs, 23 caught fire – a rate of 0.004 percent. Out of 4.4 million petrol and diesel cars, 3400 caught fire – a rate of 0.08 percent.

You may have to eat your words on that mate, if your still around lol

I think I read in that reprt or another that the preliminary figurers don’t take into account battery electric vehicals are still relatively new compared to ICE and no one knows yet what the figurers will look like in future. Hopefully with new battery safety systems and the use of safer battery chemistry’s that won’t be the case!

Regardless of what we drive, we are all potentially driving around in a combustible bomb ?
