Just had a call from OHME, they asked about where the charger was going and if I’d submitted the survey. I explained the situation and the kerbocharge system and that the survey would be submitted when I get permission from the HA. Was busy writing this and they rang me back, they won’t install the charger as it would be running over public property!. I explained again that nothing they supplied would be doing that, it’s a simple box on a wall on private/rented property but they won’t do it. Idiots!!

I think you need to go into full details and how Duram council/highways have approved it, with links to websites! Failing that you could request an Easse charger from Motability. You will still get the Octopus tariff as its likely the Enyak is approved under VW cars! However, I would wait for permission from your HA or whether you have take it further to get it approved, before you worry about the charger fitting! Also remember the staff at Ohme and also your HA are simply office staff, who haven’t a clue about the tech side and go off a basic list, meaning its an up hill struggle to speak to the right person. It will be worth it in the end because public charging can be expensive and prices fluctuate depending on electricty prices!

But the grant is still applicable to housing associations etc.  I got the agreement of mine, that they would pay to get the grant and I would reimburse them
