Hi I extended my contract by 2 years because of the high ap

i’m coming to the end of that in a few months and the ap is still way to high.

I want an ev but it needs to be a large one

has anyone manage to get a grant for a large ev as we are talking a few thousand

As far as I’m aware the grants team would look at the cheapest option to get you into a vehicle suitable for your needs and not fuel type sorry.

If you suffer from issues relating to ice you could argue the point.

I’d argue now I couldn’t go back to ice as driving an EV causes no pain in my hands due to no engine vibration. I get car sick in an ice vehicle now too for some reason.

On top of that my nearest petrol station is 10 miles away. There’s a nearer one but it always runs out of fuel due to tourists so you can’t rely on it.

If you can think of a justifiable reason that you need an EV on relation to your disabilities you might be able to make a case.

The Berlingo has come down to a reasonable AP now but standard and XL versions

There are ways to make EV the only viable option for your health, one pedal driving reducing the stresses on your joints, lack of vibration.  Then there’s finding one suitable, clearly a new Ioniq 5 Ultimate at near 8 grand is unlikely but the Enyaq is both huge and comfortable and less than 3 grand for the best ranged version.
