    Revised Figures

    Annual Insurance: £984
    Annual Service:  £300
    Annual Misc Repairs: $25
    MOT: £54
    Known One-Off costs: Tyres x4 – £450
Additional One off costs buffer £400

Estimated Cost Over 3 years of ownership (approx): £4939
    Including purchase cost: $18139
Approx Motability payment over 3 years: £10224

Total Net Cost after 3 years: £7915

Car value after 3 years (pessimistic) £6000

Total Net cost: (if car is sold) £1915.

    Vs

Motability option of a new car:

Down payment: £500 (max) (either c4 aircross, ford puma or kia sportage)

3 years of Motability payment: £10224

    Total: £10724

I think based on the revised figures. The fact am I very much like this car and it’s flexibility, I think I am leaning to a purchase.

Again, if there is anything  I have forgotten or failed to consider, let me know.

I do expect my mileage to increase somewhat, it was affected a lot by covid and lifestyle changes post covid really.

p.s – How do people approach entering their licence into comparison sites? Seems to be a new thing since I last compared for insurance. Does it affect the quotes much at all? I’m suspicious of giving my licence details to a comparison site.
