If possible give motability an hour or so, or just begore your orginal collection time before ringing, ask them to check your file and confirm collection is still approved for handover. If the reply is yes by all means speak with dealer, explaining everything has been confirmed for collection by motability “this morning”. At this point you could speak with the so called “receptionist” at the grants department to comfirm this but, is entirely up o yu whether you do so or not – mobilities word would be good enough for me!

If the dealers motability rep continues to say otherwise, ask for a copy of any records (there will be an email from or something from the grants team, not just a phone call). If the motability rep can’t give you a copy or let you look at them, ask him/her directly “has the car been sold on, since it was offered to me”

If the dealers mobility rep comfirms the car has been sold retail, you will be on their waiting list for one to come from the manufacturer, with the small comfort of knowing the grants gone though. More on this later if this turns out to be the case.

If on the otherhand motability says the grant as been withdrawn, I mysef wouldn’t be wanting to speak with the grants manager or requesting a review of my award, which could reduce your award amout and needlessly waste even more time than you already have. Rather insted start the wheels in motion with a complaint followed by a letter from you MP. Feel free to use any additions Ive mentioned towards your complaint  ontop of yours.

If I don’t speak to you before I eagerly await your outcome on Tuesday.
