Why are the APs on these electric cars so high? Don’t the manufacturers have any confidence in their products?
Hyundai Ioniq Retail Price £43,445, AP £6,999 = 16.1% of RP
Nissan Ariya Retail Price £46,145, AP £7,999 = 17.3% of RP
Compare with Nissan Qashqai Tekna e-power, Retail Price £38,860 AP £3,199 = 8.2% of RP
Why is the AP effectively doubled?
It makes no sense for a Motability customer to pay these ridiculous prices unless you have a very high annual mileage and a home charger enabling you to recover the excess AP in fuel charges. For me, I can’t justify these prices to save the planet
