Other considerations aside, a PHEV is a far superior drive in local use and uses hardly more petrol than a regular hybrid when the initial charge is used up. When we come to change in 16 months we’ll be looking at both. APs on PHEVs are getting silly, but we’ll probably be leaving the scheme then.
