Hyundai put a notice out last year saying there aware of the issue and are working on a software update, with no indication of when!
Both Kia and Hyundai are working on the issue and will put out a service bulletin when a software update is availbale.
Given it took manufacturers a couple of years or so to put out a software update for a similar issue with diesels passive regeneration on a DPF I wouldn’t hold my breath.
