My thinking in considering one of these is: slightly bigger picture (48″ not 42″) up to date software so everything integrated and no need for the firestick to get streaming services, Amazon, Netflix etc, improved sound. My Panasonic sound on its own is pathetic and currently feeds through an AV amp and speakers which are good but if the sound on the Hisense is as good as reviews say I may be able to usefully move that setup elsewhere. It’s tempting….
Logical thinking wigwam moving your old set up stairs. Having everything built in is a godsend fo us as I hate wires everywhere. I do still use my firestick as its “jail breaked” for new films not yest realesed here but its hidden discretely behind the TV. The majority of the time I use the inbuilt apps.
Sound wise it will be superior to your panny and I was amazed with the sound quality of G1 oled I got just over a year ago, I no longer use a soundbar. However a top end Sonos or Bose soundbar would out perform any TV speakers but, they cost as much as a TV and how loud do you want it!
I’m 99.9% going to buy one on Monday to replace the Backlit LED I use as a monitor 🙂
For the £600 you can’t go wrong and the spec and picture is up there with my G1 that cost over twice as much, puus its got wifi 6 and a 120Hz LG panel and no doubt superior to your old set.
Is your Panny Oled or LED?
