Alternatively, anyone who has reached pensionable age, like I did it August this year, once your reach pensionable age you cannot make a new claim for DLA or PIP.
I understood it, if you were claiming PIP/DLA prior to state pension age you can carry on claiming it. If you had not made a claim prior and up to state pension age you could not claim PIP/DLA and would have to claim attendance allowance.
