e-nv200 suffers really badly from Rapidgate – you can’t even get a second (let alone 3rd or 4th) rapid charge done at the claimed speeds:

This is what the e-nv200 brochure claims:

(Suggests that problem is more extreme on Leaf)

    Drive 90-95kmh max (85-90) 55-60mph
    Avoid overtaking

    Keep power on when charging

    Avoid going below 10% charge

    Charge when below 25%

Active cooling on e-nv200 but  takes more energy

“Rapidgate (v):  To over heat battery without proper thermal management”

Could fix it with software update

Some interesting discussion of Nissan’s responses to the Leaf rapid gate issue – especially regarding number of rapid charges per day (not more than 2)

    Another report on it

citing 1hr 43 minutes to get to 80% – it only taking a 17kW charge

    Another report of it happening
